Shannen is a Dutch artist and photographer based in The Hague. Her work is a vibrant exploration of emotion, colour, and the quiet magic of everyday life.

Shannen began painting as part of a personal healing journey. Recovering from burnout and depression, she picked up a brush and began experimenting. What started as a private way to reconnect with herself slowly grew into something she wanted to share. That is how Shannen Studio was born.

For Shannen, painting is a way to slow down and reconnect with the present moment. When creating, there is no rush, just presence. Her process is guided not by a fixed plan, but by feeling. Drawing inspiration from emotions and "glimmers"—a song, a shared laugh, or the warmth of the sun—she translates inner worlds into visual stories on canvas.

Through Shannen Studio, she aims to bring a sense of light, hope, and creative connection into the viewer's space.
